Our Boats

Eclipse
A beneteau 42s7 this boat affords the combination of luxury accommodation with high tech fit out ready for racing.

Able to sleep 8 on board in comfort in 3 cabins (with 2 toilets on board) there is plenty of room on board for everything a crew will need (including a spacious fridge for refreshments!)

She was completely refit in 2008 in order to participate in the European ARC – sailing from Clear Lake Texas to the UK: New equipment includes the latest Tacktick Maxi displays on the mast powered by state-of-the-art Raymarine ST70 colour instruments and networked E120, Radar and AIS systems. Also available is a complete set of Kevlar sails and a full inventory of new spinnakers.

For those sailing ‘anoraks’ amongst you, Eclipse’s technical data is as follows:

Eclipse is a Beneteau 42s7: With a Bruce Farr designed hull and a Philip Starck (the “s” in the name) interior. As the model name suggests, Eclipse is 42`7” in length, 13’9” in beam and just under 6` in draft. She has three cabins, two heads and a convertible saloon table – capable of seating 8 for dinner and then converting into the largest bunk on board in the evening.

Eclipse even has both a racing traveller and a coach roof mounted cruising traveller to allow both full on racing or more relaxed sailing. She also sports creature comforts such as dockside central heating and air conditioning, inverters and a new Bose sound system.

Lastly, Eclipse also has new ground tackle and a new Lewmar electric windlass giving you the option of an easy anchoring at Osbourne Bay or elsewhere in the Solent on a nice afternoon, to sit back, relax and simply enjoy the view.

For those less familiar with nautical terms, the above means she is a very safe and stable boat and a pleasure to sail on!
